Lost River Gorge, New Hampshire

Through the pines on the trail at Lost River Gorge you can peer out to the New Hampshire mountains that roll in every direction possible!

My turn to squeeze through the boulders!

Sometimes you go up - up - up and then sometimes you go waaaaay down!

If you choose you can do some sperlunking!
The boulders have markings to give you directions to go in one end and crawl, squeeze, or whatever it takes to come out the other end!

Vermont by-ways

Although tucked away in a little holler the ole barn and silo was being framed by brilliant color!

The bicycle barn?
Not sure of the reason for the yellow bicycle but between it and the unreal colors it catches your attention!

Who can resist a little white Church.
I pray that these small beautiful Churches thrive!

Another barn being highlighted by the Vermont colors!

Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves

Everywhere you look New Hampshire granite is laying around looking beautiful!

A fantastic way to spend a Fall afternoon.
Romantic too!

The boardwalks winds through the forest going up - down- around - and even inside!

If you're tired there's a couple of seats along the way!

The boardwalks take advantage of the sturdy granite boulders.

The waterfalls along the way offer a peaceful hike.

Stowe, VT

Iconic Vermont Fall
This blessed little Church in Stowe, VT is one of the many Churches that get snapped over and over again in the Fall season.  I wonder why?  Just look at the color!

Pemigewasset River ~ Woodstock, NH

After a week in New Hampshire and Vermont this scene was
my most favorite.  We passed it every morning leaving the campground.
We saw lots of Fall colors and amazing sight but this one
is the one that stuck with me.

Found this lady in the back of Rose Cliff strolling the yard.

Found this lady of Rose Cliff watching over the Rose garden.

Waiting for Rapunzel!

Rose Cliff Mansion

The view behind Rose Cliff isn't so shabby either!
Especially if you're looking across the Atlantic Ocean

How about a nice lawn party?

Take a stroll around the back yard and compare your mansion to all the
others lining the coastline.

A long hot Summer?
Dip your toes into the fountain!

Mother Goose and Friends

All the statues give you a whimsical feel!

The beauty surrounds you no matter what room you enter at Rose Cliff.

Maybe this is where the bookkeeping was done to make sure Rose Cliff was well maintained!

Rose Cliff Mansion artworks

A Viennese rococo tin-glazed earthenware stove.
I thought it was 'just' a piece of artwork but came to find out
it served another purpose at one one time!
--The picture behind the stove was something to behold too!

I was waiting for this angel to turn around and tell us what time it was!
(too soon for that technology yet?)

Stamding tall in the hall!

Many of the chandeliers have been modified to electric but
at one time gas or candles were the only choices.

Rose Cliff Mansion Life

What a shabby view from the great room of the house!
~~ Sarcasm! ~~
Looking out across the ocean !

The light fixtures could be a tour in and of itself!

Enter through the main door and walk the red carpet to
feel like a star!

The artwork is worth stopping and appreciating!

This is the lounge for the men to retire to after dinner and enjoy their smokes and drinks!

Rose Cliff Mansion Details

Nothing catches my eye as much as a grand piano!
Make it a gold one and I just want to jump the ropes and play some chopsticks!

The details of the girls dress and the muscles on the dog are incredible.

As you look at the fire place mantel you can miss so much.
Look below for a closer view and see how many cherubs you can find.

Rose cliff Mansion, Newport, RI

Rosecliff Mansion
Before entering Rosecliff you are in awe of all the details on the outside!

Can you peek in and hear the band playing and the dresses swirling in the early 1900s?

Although weather has impacted this little guy he still looks amazing.

He's standing on a fish squirting out the fountain water.

High above you are being watched by these little guys while entering the house.

Newport Ocean Drive ~ White and Black

Always on the lookout for the perfect white home with black shutters.
Newport offered a variety to choose from.

Can you imagine yourself perched on the second floor balcony looking out to the
ocean on a Summer day?
How about being warm and cozy on a chaise' at the huge picture window
on the third floor on a Winter day?

Gated in but still not to be missed!

Newport Cliff Walk

For some reason this quaint beautiful home along the cliff walk reminded
me somewhat of the house in Beetlejuice.
I had to give it a little glow for a better effect.
I had just heard the possibility of a Beetlejuice sequel so
somewhere in the midst of my mind I was making this connection.

One of best places along the Cliff Walk!
You can open or close an assortment of doors on the gazebo
and lounge on the choicest of seats and watch the world go by!

Feel the grandeur walking through the gates along the Cliffs
