St. Charles Ave. New Orleans

The balconies are my favorites.
We Northerners or Yankees seldom include balconies in single family homes...

Porches Porches
Porches in the front, in the back at the sides,  I love them all around!
These were some stand out shingles.

Oh my.
I like balconies.
I like porches.
Now it's time to include the wrought iron!

New Orleans -- Cheerful Colorful Homes

A Street Car name Desire
This book claimed the street cars ran to Elysian Fields but history claims otherwise
in New Orleans.  Regardless -- you can feel the New Orleans descriptions as you
read the book.  This bungalow below fits the description in the book of the house in
the book.

If you're ever in need of a quaint B&B in New Orleans check this place out.

(sorry for the car )
I had to include this ketchup and mustard shotgun home.
--A New Orleans original

A colorful shotgun with and added floor in the back for more space.

(sorry for the car...)
An orange and purple shotgun home.
I so wish a banjo or saxophone player were sitting on the porch playing a tune...

New Orleans -- Colorful Homes

The colorful homes of New Orleans  fit right in with the city.
Hardly anywhere else would these homes fit in like they do in NOLA.
They are cheerful and uplifting and make you secretly wish
everywhere else would also include more color!

Pink and Green double shotgun home.

Pink and Brown double shotgun home flying their flags proudly.
Mardi Gras flag
United States of America flag
New Orleans Saints flag

Pink Ombre!
Ombre seems to be a new fad with hair and clothing but New Orleans could
be the origianl ombre queen.
Po Boy anyone?

Orange and Purple double shotgun home.

New Orleans -- In the Quarter

Even the shops in the Quarter keep the originality.

Can you imagine the parties held here two hundred years ago?

Quaint.
As you walk around the streets the unending supply of architecture
leaves your eyes on over load.
