Rockport, Maine

It's big
It's  red

Down by the sea would have special meaning living in this beautiful home.
Picture perfect!

Point of view...
How do they get into their vessels?
All tied up neatly in a row...

There is an easier way to get into their vessels!

A busy little inlet.
Rockport, Maine

A little neglect
Can it be salvaged and made usable once again?

Mt. Battie Tower: Camden, Maine

All I could see from where I stood
Was three long mountains and a wood;
I turned and looked the other way,
And saw three islands in a bay.
from Renascence by  Edna St. Vincent Millay

Atop of the mountains overlooking the ocean and connecting with Camden, Maine
is Mt. Battie, a WWI memorial.
After you climb the steps you can see forever.

This is one of two place on the US east coast where the mountains meet the ocean.
Many writers and other artists find themselves drawn to Maine.  I can see why.
The views and the slower paced lifestyle bring about a creative flair.

From the other side atop the Mt. Battie memorial.
The mountains ramble on for as far as the eye can see.

See what else is going on around the world:

Camden Quaint

The waterfalls flow under main street and under this building.

Puppies!
It can be said Camden, Maine is dog friendly.
Fresh water and the occasional treat were readily available.

A familiar scene along the streets.
They seemed to converse, telling one another secrets.

A quaintness is exuded throughout Camden.

Camden, Maine

Looking for a little sail from the harbor?
Camden Maine is the place to check out!

My favorite little town in Maine.
Camden
Peaceful in the morning just before the boats leave the harbor.

Desert of Maine

Who would've thought...a desert in the middle of Maine!
The story goes that a glacier once glided through here leaving this silt behind which is even
finer than beach sand. After years of over use by the farmer Mr Tuttle the silt
started to rise to the top of the farming soil and slowly took over the entire farm.
The house was eventually over taken by the sand and was fully covered.

Take a walk through the trails or take a ride...whatever your liking.
Keep your eyes peeled for shining mica spec hidden in the sand.
...Very interesting!

Niagara Falls Hornblower and Maid of the Mist

Ride the Hornblower (red- Canada) or the Maid of the Mist (blue- United States) to see and feel the America Falls and the Horseshoe Falls.

The yellow coats were feeling the mist from the America Falls.
You can pay to see and feel the falls from almost any angle.

The rainbow bridge expands from Canada to the United States.

On the Maid of the Mist you'll feel the power from the river currents.
A little or a lot of the water will wind up on you!

Niagara Falls, Ontario

The churning waters just before they slip over Niagara Falls.
This isn't a place you'd want to take a dip!

The power!
The roar!

From a distance
The maid of the mist was surrounded by ....  the mist!!
