Seneca Lake Winery at The Finger Lakes ~ Three Brothers

My First Finger Lakes Winery
at Seneca Lake
Three Brothers Winery offered quite the assortment of wine and brew!
It consists of
1. Stoney Lonesome a more elegant atmosphere with a great Gewürztraminer !
2. Bagg Dare that offers some namely wines for the red neck in us!
3. Passion Feet that as some sweet picks and a great wine slushie!
4. War Horse Brewery for all those that claim they aren't wine people!

I think this guy flew in for a pint!

The entrance to Bagg Dare's winery.
Follow the trail littered with a back in time feel.

Someone got lost and stayed at the winery!
My husband wanted to take this truck home and bring it back to life.

The Red Neck pond.
Sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the views.

Hungry.
That's covered here!

This is the original winery location.
The beginning so to speak.
What this offered was a beautiful view of Seneca Lake~

Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen, NY

Picture perfect day along the shores of Seneca Lake.

Have a seat and enjoy the scenery!

No people?
The middle of the week in April deems lots of pictures with no people
and the lapping sound of the lake!

The boat slips were empty but the boating season was close to beginning.

The lake gave off beautiful greenish bluish colors.
You can see forever!

True lake houses!

Watkin's Glen State Park, New York

With every turn the lighting and color was a new scenery for the eyes.

At every level you can see where the water has been.
The walk ways and hidden overlooks gave you great views.

Walking behind a water fall is everyone's dream!

In the good ole Summer time the water would be refreshing but in the
Spring, Fall and Winter it's a different feeling.

Along all the pathways you hear the sound of water.
If you're like most people it is one of the most relaxing sounds.

New life peeking through!

Watkins Glen State Park, New York

The entrance to Watkins Glen is through the hole in the rock.
Can you see the first bridge to cross to the left of the entrance?

It's hard to imagine what it took to build the paths through
the rocks.

Looking back to the parking lot from the entrance hole.
Even the view from here is exquisite.

In order to get into the park entrance way had to be dug through the rock
Thanks to those in the past for doing this job for the world to enjoy the views.

Water has a way of winning the battle of getting where it wants to go!

New York City Subway ~ 110th Anniversary

Today Oct 27, 2014 is the 110th anniversary of the NYC subway system.
Today the subway has 5.8 million riders daily.
What a ride it has been!

The artwork around the city can be hidden with beams or dirt but underneath
the city has a little bit of art history!

Who can't resist a stop at Canal St.?
You can find fake anything here!

I always wonder who uses the elevators.
Being I'm not fond of tight places and claustrophobia is scattered at
my edges I'd have a hard time using this elevator. (and then the smell!)
Gratefully I'm blessed at this point in my life to not be disabled
and need to ride it but if I would need it then I'd rethink my thoughts...

Here's lookin at you kid!

Subway tiles!
A kitchen or bathroom trend.

It's rare to get a shot like this.
No people!
Ride the subway at midnight and you may be lucky to witness this!

A little subway artwork.

What else is happening in the world today?

West Point Military Academy, New York

-To the American Soldier-
West Point is filled with dedications, history and arcitecture!

The first Army General
George Washington

Castle like walls that once kept the gun powder safe.

The steeple sticking out is a visual reminder of who is really in control.

Remembrances from the Class of 1941.
