I recently visited The Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center in Kutztown, PA.
I came across a young Amish boy who was learning to whittle.
He had many animals for sale but these two stood out to my eye.
When I was young our older neighbor taught himself to whittle after years of farming.
He made my brothers and sister necklaces and he also made these roosters.
It brought back some fond memories.
