New York Public Library

I'll call  her Delicate
I tried many times to find out more of Delicate to no avail.
There is a small plaque to the left of her but I failed to capture it.
If anyone knows her real name or her history please share?

Beauty
Beauty sits upon Pegasus

Above Beauty are these words:
Beauty
Old yet ever new
Eternal Voice
and inward word
These words are from a poem by Whittier called Shadow and the Light

Patience
Meet Patience.  One of two lions protecting the Library since 1911. Fortitude is the name
of the other twin lion.

Check out many other places around the world at  http://ourworldtuesdaymeme.blogspot.com
