Indian River Inlet Bridge - Delaware

What a perfect morning walk.
My favorite beach time is an early six mile stroll up and over and around
the bridge.  A great start to the day.  The views are ever changing.

From the top of the bridge you can see a huge portion of
the Delaware beaches.

A glowing view from another angle.
The light fell so differently from this side of the bridge.
A quiet morning for some fishing.

Come sail away

There's a port on a western bay
And it serves a hundred ships a day
Lonely sailors pass the time away
And talk about their homes

A favorite for 35+ years

As I journeyed around the beach town each morning I checked out the residents diggs. For the past 35+ years this one has been at the top of my list. It's not big and forboding but it's quaint and charming and well-kept. Maybe it's the gum drop trees out front that give it curb appeal. Maybe it's the views (below) across the street that capture my eye. I do so love the front room where the many french doors open to let in the ocean breezes. In the evening the lighting gives it an extra ahhhh.

Beach Week 2010

The ever popular 'jump in front of the lense shot'.

Hail Hail the gang is here!
Yet another great beach week has come and gone. A good time was had by all. There was of course sunning, napping (luging), eating, shopping, laughing, and story telling, did I mention napping.... Over the past 35+ years we've enjoyed staying at the same small place. To our dismay we pulled in this year to a For Sale sign. (we're hoping it won't sell!) It's a crowded week but one filled with memories. Of course there's the yearly picture in front of the infamous tree. Why? Because it's there!

Beach times

Future Road Ragers!
They're at peace with one another! It's a great day!

Kudos to the city of Bethany Beach, Dl. for their splash of color for the world.

You can't escape a picture by our favorite tree at the beach!

More Rehoboth......
The mini golfers. Fore!!
Our beach home. It may be small but nobody wants to give it up for a year. We have alot of fun being 'close' together. It's the fastest week out of the year.

Waiting for the Tsunami to arrive. It's a contest to see who relaxes the most!

Summer Hang out

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
For the past 35+ years our family has trekked to the beaches of Delaware. It's always been filled with memories and happy times. We've watched this little beach haven grow and grow through the years. It's a relaxing week where not much gets down except some serious snoozing or as I like to call it 'doing the luge' on the beach. Read a little nap a little walk a little nap a little take a little dip nap a little get a little snack nap a little..... Get the picture?

We always go over the Fourth of July and get to enjoy the fireworks on the beach. You can see the crowds waiting the first bursts.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It's time for that little nap!
