This young fellow greeted our carriage at Fort Mackinac.
This young soldier greeted the American soldiers back to the fort in 1796.
Great Great Grandfather of the young soldier above?
Since 1780 the fort has had a presence.
The British did control for a period of time though during the War of 1812.
The United States didn't get the fort back until after the war.
For 225+ years the walls have withstood the test of time.
