All I could see from where I stood
Was three long mountains and a wood;
I turned and looked the other way,
And saw three islands in a bay.

Atop of the mountains overlooking the ocean and connecting with Camden, Maine
is Mt. Battie, a WWI memorial.
After you climb the steps you can see forever.
This is one of two place on the US east coast where the mountains meet the ocean.
Many writers and other artists find themselves drawn to Maine. I can see why.
The views and the slower paced lifestyle bring about a creative flair.
From the other side atop the Mt. Battie memorial.
The mountains ramble on for as far as the eye can see.
